California Species Rules, Louisiana Insurance Discounts, Ohio SNAP Changes

• 5101:4-3-11 Food assistance: work registration and exemptions Ohio. The Department of Job and Family Services amended this rule to set screening criteria and exemptions for SNAP work registration and able-bodied adult work requirements, listing eleven exemptions from general work rules and eight from ABA work requirements. County agencies must use the state's integrated eligibility system to screen and document exemption status for people aged 16 to 64. The amendment is effective October 1, 2026.

• Potential measles exposures in St. Louis area Missouri. The Department of Health and Senior Services issued a public health alert identifying multiple locations in the St. Louis region with potential measles exposure during September 12 through 14, advising exposed individuals to watch for symptoms for 21 days and citing MMR vaccine protection of about 97 percent with two doses.
